Going Into Debt to Fund a Giveaway

If our Federal Government is stupid enough to borrow billions of dollars to give each of us a few hundred dollars this spring, then at least make sure that you have done what it takes to qualify for the give away. Basically all you have to do is file a 2007 federal income tax return.

Now, notice I did not say that you had to pay any taxes whatsoever, just file the return. This is not a tax refund; it is a no strings attached welfare check for those who file a return. 

You could receive up to $600 – more if you have children – if you have not worked too hard and have too large of an income. Those who work the most and produce the most taxes will be paying for those who have not paid any taxes into the system. I guess that is the way it is socialism is supposed to work.

So make sure that you file a 2007 Federal Income Tax Return, get on the roles of the IRS, and you should become eligible for this check. If you need the extra stimulus to pay some bills this spring, then this will certainly help, and it will help the economy of our state when you spend it.
